Movie Projector – Did not work ! – First time experience

We went to Terminator Salvation movie for a night show in the renovated Kamala theatre. The theatre is WIP but they have opened it up, this movie was played in screen2.
First time experience is that movie projector did not work close to interval ! Definitely a WIP theater ! It would work for 5 minutes then audio would go off first followed by the Video
They tried for couple of times but no luck. People lost the patience at 12:30 AM. All started shouting and asking for reimbursement. Knew we had to wait for another one hour to get the reimbursement even if they agree to give, so we just moved out…
Waste of 2 precious hours and I could have spent with my family !

Would be useful for searches involving product comparisons. The results are not that extensive. Believe the dedicated sites for thos products would provide better comaprisons.
Liked the table component they used to display the squares. Easy to add and delete columns and rows !
Bing – Will Microsoft gain some search market share

Learned today that Microsoft is hoping to gain some market share in Search (Currently it seems it has only 1.5 percent) with bing.com.
Microsoft is planning to invest $ 100 million to promote this, we have to wait and see.
emember 7-8 years back, when doing searches, we have to navigate atleast to 2-3 pages to find the desired result. Nowadays with google, top 3 or 4 results would match our expectation. The other thing I always wondered with google is that the minimum network latency itself could not be experienced !
Tried bing.com could not appreciate its differentiated value. Google is still the best IMO.

Spent 22k and bought this for my kid. She is definitely capable, myself and my wife believe she can be moulded well. So spending this without much analysis (no experience from people I know off). Let us see how this goes.

Win-Win IPL

IPL 2009 is over now ! Deccan chargers has become the top after being bottom in 2008 ! I was predicting that DC is the strongest team as per book in 2008 and they have done it well in 2009.
Am amazed by this concept of IPL (credit should go to ICL think tank). There is lot of Win-Win. You should not have more than 4 foreign players, this rule provides excellent opportunity for junior Indian players to interact with senior Indian, oversees players which is a good exposure to them. This year juniors have got exposure to play in oversees condition as well.
Board, organizing country, Advertisers, TV broadcaster, Franchize owner, all players are benefitted and truly a win-win concept.
Public gets excellent entertainment. It is like watching a movie (3 hours) and good fun out there. Only loser is audience time because IPL kills time for 50+ days and a productivity loss !

Would look familiar for Indians ! Our fore fathers designed this many many years back and made it part of our culture.They are great and had scientific sense !
For people who are not familiar with Indian culture, this yoga is part of our culture and we should do this when we worship Lord Ganesha. It is also said that if you worship Lord Ganesha, you would be good in studies !! What a scientific thinking !
Admittedly forefathers instead of explaining the reasoning behind such acts, they have forced us to follow in the name of God which many in this generation (including me) are questioning.

We have named baby girl as “HARINI” ! We liked the name much. We had Vaishnavi in mind but since that sounded bit old, we concluded on HARINI. Co-incidentally, astrology also suggests the name to start with Ha So we happily decided on this name. Hope my daughter will like it !!
